Meet last year’s Grand Prize Winner…
Kiersten Rae
The winning song, “Mind of Their Own”, submitted by Kiersten & co-written by Courtney Tennikoff & Kate Zickler, took home the top prize in the 24th Annual Song Contest. Read about Kiersten below:
“I am from Orange County, California and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2016. In May of 2020, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Arts in Songwriting. Now I'm writing pop, country & Christian songs for artists, as well as sync, every single day and loving it. Some exciting things that have happened lately are getting to play twice at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, getting to perform in the 30th annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival, placing TOP 10 in NSAI's 23rd Annual Song Contest, winning NSAI TOP 10 Global Chapter Challenge, having multiples songs on their TOP 40 list and being on their "Ones To Watch" list, as well as being a semi-finalist for American Songwriter annual contest and a finalist for USA Songwriting competition. And I couldn't have done any of it without Jesus opening the doors. To quote one of my songs, "the point of my life is to point it to HIS!"“
